Deer & Elk Hunting Full Guided Hunts
On our full guided deer & elk hunts the guide ratio is 2 hunters per 1 guide. We furnish everything except licenses, sleeping bags, personal gear, liquor or name brand soda pops. We field dress, quarter, skin & pack the game into camp. If you don’t have your own transportation we will take the meat to the processor for you. The meat processing, cooler & taxidermy fees are the responsibility of each individual hunter. I will try to explain how a typical day on a full guided hunt will go. First my wife Liz & I get up and I usually start a fire in the wood stove while she is getting the coffee ready. I usually then wake up the guides, if they’re not already up. After Liz has breakfast started and I’ve had a cup of coffee me or one of the guides will wake the hunters for breakfast. Sometime before or after breakfast each hunter makes their own sandwiches for lunch. They can make as many as they want, grab an apple or candy bars, or both, and are set for the day. Liz will also have enough coffee made if anyone wants to fill their own thermos. Well before daylight we are leaving camp for our deer & elk hunting areas. After we hunt all day, usually till dark, we all look foreword to seeing what Liz has cooked for dinner. Before and during dinner we all enjoy hearing about each others hunt that day & hopefully how they made their kill. Everyone hopes they won’t have their shirt tail on the wall of shame, but even if they do, at least they had their chance.
